Do you have that feeling when people tell you to describe your self you start then you begin to really think about what next to say and then you have nothing. But when you listen to some songs it's like the artist got into you head and talks about how you're feeling or he is describing the situation you're going through to a very good extent. Well if you feel that way then i guess we are the same. So real quick i'm just going to list some of those songs that make me feel that way.

The song of the day is Welcome To Heartbreak by Kanye West with additional vocals by Kid Kudi and Jeff Bhasker. This song is from the timeless masterpiece 808's and Heartbreak released in 2008. If you have been reading a lot of my posts you would realize that i'm a big Kanye fan (thanks to kuyemazing). But really if you pay attention to the work he does you would realize that he is really good and kinda under appreciated. According to wikipedia welcome to heartbreak was inspired by a conversation with the MTV Executive Vice President Dave Sirulnick, who showed him some photos of his wife and children. If you listen to the words in the song there were a lot of paradoxes. The message in the song really is how his success has really hindered him from achieving some basic things. It is very reflective about his achievements but also makes him wonder if every thing he has gained or has been able to do is really worth it. The instruments in the song include Violins, String instruments, Heavy drums, keyboards and other instruments. This is one of the songs and albums that made good use of the autotune effect (vocoder). The song has this classical feel and is really calm and goes with the theme of the whole album.

Been So Long
I'm sure a few people have wondered if i would be doing any new compilations soon. Well i was out for so long due to the lack of material mostly and the lack of inspiration. But real quick here are ten pictures for you. Hope you enjoy 'em.
The song of the day was inspired by a tweet by someone from malawi complaining about Davido's booking fee apparently he collects $80,000 before I converted it I was like why is the guy even complaining sef... Then I did the conversion on google and I was just confused. I can't even type it sef so I will just do a snapshot and put it at the end of the post. Back to the matter, The Song of The Day is Owo Ni Koko By Omo Baba Lowo himself Davido. Owo Ni Koko is yoruba for "Money is the main thing" so i'm guessing all my initial explanation is making more sense right now, Right? The song is another chilled jam apparently Davido is leaning into the whole afro-house movement. It has this Tropical vibe and it is one of those tracks you can't but nod your head to. It was produced by J Fem.

The song of the day is Grandpa by Brymo off his 2013 album Merchants, Dealers and Slaves. Before I get into details about the song I really recommend you listen to this album, I'm just going to say it is one of the best afro soul/ afro pop albums if not the best one i've ever listened to. The song obviously from the title is about his grandfather, He describes his behaviour in the song. From the lines in the song he makes him come off as very irresponsible and tells us he lives kind of a reckless life. Take the following lines for examples "he get big big house we still dey live for gutter ... ask my grand papa for wisdom na only shayo you go get..." He also describes him as kind of a chilled guy amongst other descriptions. I do not actually know who produced the song but the Instrumental consists of Piano, stringed instruments, drums amongst other instruments the Brymo & producer really did a good job.

The song of the day is one of my best songs off the Westernised West Africa Mixtape by Mojeed released in 2014. Well the song was talking about a number of things like living life having fun, asking God for protection and guidance, girls, time, material things and just a lot of different things altogether. The beat was kind of calm and progressive consisting of drums, organs, pianos and some other instruments. Leri Q did a really good job on the track. Then one of my favorite lines from the song was when he goes: "...I had to stay by the border every morning waking up with someone else’s daughter I got the magic stick, na fi so mi di harry potter..." Well I can say I really like this track because its short, simple and just has this kinda very chilled vibe to it that I just cant explain.
