The Urban Retro Playlist

Hi everyone. This period for me is exam period so there are a lot of things coming together, Ive actually written my first paper. So one of my rituals when preparing for exams is making a playlist for when im studying and for the exam period generally. It was one of my previous roomates that made me start this but his was just song. So I decided to compile and put up myown Exam playlist.

There was a time where I considered Lil Wayne as one of my best artists, he was arguably the best rappers in the game at a point. I mean almost everything he touched turned to gold, he had over a 100 features a year including one with an Indian or Arabian guy im not really sure right now. Then his multi platnum selling album Tha Carter III had to many hits I don't even want to begin mention them. Well this morning for some reason I played a number of Lil Wayne songs  and it made remember how I was  at the time those songs came out and just the type of music that was made at the time. So im going to make a playlist of some of my favorite

In the song he talked about how the music industry was at the moment, what he would do Ideally, how much he has tried to make a difference but was not able to. So he decided he was going to allow the clergy men tell the "the people" what to do and then allow them decide for themselves. He talked about his own aspirations and how he planned on attaining them. He tried to also encourage people to be themselves. The main message of the song was to inform people  how they were trapped by the opinions of people and how they should just break free and make their own decisions and live their lives.
The thing that really had me on this song was his flow, it just came too easy for him I mean I can't explain how he did it and was still able to pass across his message. He also dropped a number of punchlines, I mean the song was entirely on point. This is one of the songs that made me believe it was possible to do hip-hop and be successful in Nigeria and personally i'm forever grateful to him for that.
