The song of the day is Faith by Kendrick Lamar featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and Punch from his EP released in 2009. The song is about the daily sturugles you face in life, the pressures, back sliding and just having and losing faith in general. He spoke from different perspectives: how it affected his and other peoples decisions,beliefs and behaviour. What he was say were things I could relate to esspecially some lines in the 4th verse
"Searching for answers, that's human nature, you ain't in the wrong
Just know when you feeling that way spirit's in the room
I watched people I know pray and catch the Holy Ghost
And wonder why I ain't ever caught that feeling before
Maybe they know Him better, or I don't know no better
But what I do know, is that He's real and He lives forever..."
There were a lot of things he also said that made too much sense. Its the kind of song you have to paitiently listen to so you can understand the story completly (obviously most songs are like that but you just have to folloew the story). In conclusion the message was you should keep going though its going to get harder, but if you can hold on to what you believe you can overcome. This is one of my best songs from the E.P and i recommend you listen to it.
