The song of the day is the 2nd Track by J.Cole from his 2014 album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The song is like a period of reminiscing for Cole amongst other things. He also spoke about deaths and injustice. Like When NFL star OJ Simpson faced a murder trial and when one of his one of his friend's died then he said this brilliant thing:
"This for my niggas that was tossed in the graves//Every so often I fade deep in my thoughts and get lost in the days(Daze)//".
A lot of the things he said relate to different songs on this album and his previous album as well. Also, Cole has said or has implied that Jay-Z is his mentor and he wants to be like him . So naming this song January 28th is similar to when Jay-Z named a song December 4th which happen to be both their birthdays. Then Cole also self proclaims himself as the greatest and compares himself to have reached a god like status and this comparison is directed exactly to Rakim who was born on the same day.
