The song of the day is I'm Alive by Celine Dion from her 2002 album A New Day Has Come. I listened to this a lot when I was younger because at the time every body was a Celine Dion fan in my house I guess. Its an uplifting song that expresses happiness, I guess she was at a very good point in her life. I think at the time was also very popular. Its has this r&b Pop like vibe and It eventually went platinum in Belgium. I heard it yesterday and I just began to remember when I was younger and stuff and how music has evolved since then. I consider it a classic and if you haven't heard it before you should definitely listen to it.

The song of the day is Deaf a single released by Nigerian female Rapper from her soon coming E.P. She talks about hustling, comparisons, frustration and how things are going for her generally in her verses, also I think she was subing someone though . The sound was very Unorthodox, I haven't heard much similar to this sound it had a different paradigm .I really liked the vocals on the chorus, it was kinda traditional but sounded very cool. Also the delivery was tight, but she was way more explicit. Clearly there were some elements that expressed or suggested anger in her verses. But in all it was a nice performance, I expect more awesome music from her in time to come.

The song of the day is by Timber by Pitbull featuring american recording artist Ke$ha from his Extended play Meltdown 2013. The song was originally supposed to feature Rihanna but she was unavailable at the time. The song has several elements in it notably the Harmonica giving it kind of a country vibe but it is more of a Dance, Pop feel. The song was able to peak at number 1 on several charts around the world. The song is very upbeat, energetic and juft fun to listen to. The tune has been stuck in my head for days now I just cant get enough of it.

The song of the day is Let Rap Down a cover for J.Cole's Let Nas Down done by Nigerian Rapper Pryce Williams released in 2013. This was actually the first track I heard from him and I really liked it. He was telling a story about music in Nigeria from his own perspective. He talked about his idols and how they inspire him to still have hope and keep rapping. I think the strongest thing he had going was his content which is usually not the case in Nigerian music. I hope he goes on making more music like this cause when I heard this I was like there is a future for Nigerian rap and we can still make it. I recommend that you listen to it if you haven't heard it before.

The song of the day is Adorn by American singer Miguel from his second album Kaleidoscope Dream. The song was written and produced solely by him. It was inspired by his girlfriend he was had been a way for a while and was anxious to see her. It had some weird but cool background sounds and this sub bass sound on the beat is the most notable sound. It has this whole electro soul vibe thing going. It is a very calm but emotional song, occasionally he got to some points where he sang some high pitched notes. The song got nominated for three Grammy awards, eventually it won for the category of Best R&B Song. For sometime it was my favourite song and it still has one of the most plays on my computer.

The song of the day is Rolling in the deep by British singer Adele from her second album 21 released in 2011. This was one of the most popular songs of the album, and it was one of her most successful song commercially. It was different from the regular slow tempo she usually uses in her songs, it was faster and the instruments were much more upbeat. It talk about heartbreak and reminiscing about a different time. The song received several awards and it has also been used in several TV shows including Gossip Girl and Dancing with the stars to name a few. The vocals on the song are amazing and i guess she started the whole you can make it with out being explicit in you video as a lady. She broke a lot of records when the full album was released and this one of the songs that helped her with such achievements. I consider it a classic and if you are a blues fan and you haven't heard it before(which i doubt),I strongly recommend you listen to it.

The song of the day is Swim Good by Frank Ocean from his 2011 mixtape Nostalgia,Ultra. It is a Neo Soul song if you listen to it its like a suicide song but the tune and the vocals do not really suggest that exactly. This is considered the best song on the mixtape. He considers the song an imagery and a little bit of a satire. The vocals on the song are very good and it also featured Tyler The Creator vocals . In the song he was talking about trying to escape something bigger than him also about heartbreak and that kind of stuff. He has this this distinct sound that is very intriguing guess that is what attracts me to his music.
The song of the day is Carry On by indie rock band Fun from their 2nd Album Some Nights (2012)

D'Banj showed with the album that he is not in the same level as other Nigerian artist with this album he had both Local and international Artist on his Tracks and was able to produce a number of smash hits. But still there were a number of old songs. But it was a good performance by the koko master.
